I sneezed and slept away the whole of today. What a wasted day. The bout of 'sensitive nose syndrome' is back again. I have the feeling that I fell sick because I walked in the hot sun and into the taxi and out again for 3 times yesterday. According to Chinese medical philosophy this would cause a person with a weak constitution to fall sick easily.
My nose has stopped its dual function as a 'tap' now. But as I was lying in bed, it struck me: what if I fall sick in Canada due to the drastic waether changes...why did I choose to go for SEP in the winter and of all places Canada one of the coldest countries in the world...would I have been better off going to the UK, after all it seems to be an orthodox place to study the law. Well, although all is too late now, I still think I would not have chosen UK universities if I were given another chance because I still believe that English law, being steeped in tradition and arguably fossilised in pedagogy, is not exactly the best place to go for an EXCHANGE. An exchange in my opinion should breathe new life into my present academic outlook and enable me to meet a more diverse humanity. Canada/US are better choices for exchange, while England would have been have ideal place to get a reputable degree/masters.
Yea. So no regrets. I'm going ahead with this with the utmost faith. I have paid for the tickets and field trip to Washington. I need to book a hostel for three nights' stay. My packing is 1/2 done. Wish me luck.
